GNOME desktop question

I like GNOME much more than I do KDE, but there is one feature that KDE has and GNOME does not. The ability to change the event of clicking on the desktop. In KDE, by default, right clicking on the desktop brings up a context menu where you can manipulate the files on the desktop. This can be changed so that you can bring this menu up by middle clicking, and a right click will bring up the KMenu. I would like to do this with GNOME, but have not found anything with Google. Is this possible with GNOME?
I'm running Debian Testing with GNOME 2.8.3

Check over at Gnome Hacks and if they don't have it then click on the Gnome support link and use those resources. Personally, I've never heard of the feature.
