GNOME default mail client


How do I set the default mail client used by GNOME, I am using acme for my multimedia keys and when I press the e-mail button evolution tries to launch (i do not have it installed) but I want to use mozilla mail, where is this setting. I'm running sues8.2 with Gnome2.2

If you go to the start menu> Applications> Desktop Preferences> Advanced> File types and programs, click on it and then scroll down and click on internet services, then click Add Service, call it E-mail (or whatever), for Protocol: enter mailto and for Program: enter the command that opens a Mozilla mail compose window followed by a space and %s

Edit - is the command
mozilla-mail -compose %s
I use Firefox and Thunderbird so for me the command is
thunderbird -compose %s

nonono... go to:

Applications->Desktop preferences->Advanced->Prefered Applications

and do it there.

Yes indeed, it's changed between Gnome 2.4 and 2.6. You now get the option to change the setting on the Preferred Applications tab as LinFreak! says.
