Question Gnome Clock 2.6.2 - Wrong timezone

Hi all!

I'm running Debian Unstable with Gnome 2.6.1 (recent version in Unstable). After some trouble with timezones, my timezone is now set correctly on boot:

dotxp@dotxp-laptop:~$ date
Wed Oct 6 13:15:04 CEST 2004
dotxp@dotxp-laptop:~$ echo $TZ
Europe/Berlin

The problem I now experience is, that my Gnome Clock ist still running with EDT timezone (America/New York), after boot. I have to switch that manually everytime.

Has anyone an idea on that?

Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Toby

I had a similar problem with the KDE clock. In the end I decided to switch the system to UTC rather than local time, following the advice in:

http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/sy...dmin-time.html

This fixed the problem, and also seems like a more logical setup.
