Gnome and libXft.so.2


got a problem when I try to start X windows (gnome)

I got the error
gnome-session: relocation error: /usr/X11R6/lib/libXft.so.2: Undefined Symbol: X RenderQuerySubpixelOrder

I just compiled a new kernel.
and reinstalled nvidia drivers.

so please tell me what the problem is
