Gnome 2.8/FC3 clock-applet calendar jumps ahead by five months or 4 years

Okay, so here we go. This one has stumped me for a few days now.

The clock applet that sits on the bottom RHS of my panel has the Day, Month and Date on top and the time in 24-hr time with seconds on the bottom. When I click on it, I get the standard "november" calendar. When I click on the ">" arrow to move to december, the weirdness begins. It just freezes up for a second and jumps forward to March 2005!! WHen I click on the Left arrow to move back, it returns to November. The year does the same thing....from 2004 to 2008 and back. Right now I'm using my scroll wheel as a substitute, but this gets annoying when I want to jump ahead a year or maybe 8 months.

I've noticed after some testing that this behavior doesn't occur prior to the first launch of evolution.
