How do i change the login screen resoulition in Gnome 2.4. After i have logged into a user or root the screen changes to the right resoulition 800x600. How do i make the login screen default to 800x600 every time?

I've heard somewhere that a key-combination could do it.
As far as I remember it was something like [CTRL] [ALT] [+] or [CTRL] [ALT] [-] to respectively improve or get a lower rez.
You should also try with SHIFT instead of ALT coz I'm not 100% sure.
