gnomad2 (libnjb?) problem

Hi, I'm running on Fedora Core 4 currently.
I've built libnjb and gnomad2.7.0 from src.rpm's and although libnjb works with the ipod for things such as setting the Owner string, it will not transfer songs to the player. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it? Thanks in Advanced.

i presume you're using "ipod" as a generic term here??

what actually does happen when you transfer things? any errors? any USB errors appearing in dmesg? are you definitely runnign the very latets version of libnjb? have you tried an alternative app, like neutrino?

Yes. It's a Creative Micro Zen.
I don't get any transfer errors -- It just splashes the "transferring songs" window for a short period then disapears.
I've tried other apps, and it isn't working.
There are no USB errors.
I'll try to use another libnjb and I'll let you know. Thanks.

Other versions of libNJB have the same problem. Also, I am running gnomad as root, so that shouldn't be a problem?

last time I used it you had to use the cvs branch of libnjb for it to work, double check the src rpm you have of libnjb and make sure it will work. also, make sure you have hotplug set up correctly per the instructions on the gnomad site.
