gmplayer playlist reset fix?

hi. i use gmplayer to play my mp3s. When i add a new song to the playlist gmplayer goes back to the first song in the playlist. So far this has only been an annoyance but i can imagine it being a pain if i had tons of songs in the playlist. I am curious if anyone has got annoyed by this too and found a way to make gmplayer stay at the song you are on when you add a new one to the playlist. thanks for any help in advance.

edit: I also just remembered another anoyance. gmplayer plays the song again after it gets done playing it instead of advancing in the playlist. Has anyone been annoyed by this as well?
