GLX problem

well I've been trying to get a few things working on my RedHat 9 linux box, mostly xawtv. the only problem is that GLX won't load... this is what it tells me: This is xawtv-3.88, running on Linux/i586 (2.4.20-13.9) Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-ledfixed-medium-r-*--39-*-*-*-c-*-*-*" to type FontStruct Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0". so then I decided to run glxinfo, and this is what it told me: name of display: :0.0 Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0". Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0". Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0". Error: couldn't find RGB GLX visual visual x bf lv rg d st colorbuffer ax dp st accumbuffer ms cav id dep cl sp sz l ci b ro r g b a bf th cl r g b a ns b eat ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0". Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0". 0x21 24 tc 1 0 0 c . . 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 None Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0". Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0". 0x22 24 dc 1 0 0 c . . 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 None and when I run glxgears it says this: Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0". Error: couldn't get an RGB, Double-buffered visual ok, so I don't know what to do! I checked my XF86Config file and the: Load "glx" line is not commented out. well, I fixed it... I had installed an NVIDIA driver a while ago because I was testing a different video card, so I just had to uninstall it, and it works fine now
