Global shortcut keys daemon

I currently use Gnome, and I control XMMS using xmmsctrl, and the global shortcut keys that metacity provides.

I am trying out various other window managers, but need that global shortcut key xmms control.

Are there any other daemons I can use other than metacity to allow me to press combinations such as Ctrl + Alt + X which will launch a script?

xbindkeys might work. Look for it at Google.
