global flag override
I need some tips on how to make a global override of some parameters
for example I have a program which after ./configure-ation --without-debug/with-debug=no still appears to compile things with a -g flag, what I was thinking is if it is possible to override that flag with something like "alias -g='-g0'" but since -g is not a command but rather a parameter, I don't know how to get that to work
I have tried to manually modify alot of "Makefile.in" files all over the package(s), but that was not enough and it alote of things still do appear to contain -g as a compiler parameter, I have tried to do "grep -lir "= -g" *" and "grep -lir " -g" *" but there are no results anymore and the flag still appears during the compilation
anyone knows a better solution to permanently and globally get rid of any program trying to compile with debug ?
