Glib-1.020 install problem Can't use an undefined value as a symbol reference

I am trying to install everything I need to run Acidrip... but to install perl GTK2 it needed other things the last think I think I need to install is Glib (I dont even know what all of these do!)

bash-2.05b$ cd Glib-1.020
bash-2.05b$ perl Makefile.PL
Including ApiDoc pod.
Deleting Glib from doc.pl's $data
found package "gobject-2.0 >= 2.0.0", using it
found package "gthread-2.0", using it
Can't use an undefined value as a symbol reference at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/ExtUtils/Depends.pm line 291.
bash-2.05b$

Can someone please tell me what i need to do with this undefined value problem???

Thanks
Adam
