I'm using Gentoo, I have KDE installed, gtk+, gtk-sharp, not gnome, glade, glade-sharp, etc
When I open glade and add a window I don't actually get a window, all I get is a gray rectangle with rhumbuses all over it.
If I try to put a button on the "form" it covers the whole thing, the same thing happens in monodevelop.
Am I missing a package? BTW, same thing happened to me when i was using kubuntu...
Sounds like everything is working correctly. You have add containers to the form for the different widgets that you want. Try creating a window, then put a layout widget in the window, then put a button widget in the layout.
I thought I already got that but apparantly I haven't may be it's because of how much I read about mono, they say it's a .NET implementation and that software work the same on all platforms, etc... But I guess I'm making too many assumptions
