GKrellm

Strange thing i have to run GKrellM as root to get it to control my fans on my Dell laptop. I am using the I8k plugin and everything runs fine as root but when i log in as myself i cannot control the fans with the plugin. Another thing is that when i launch as root the GKrellM is in a different position on the screen and the applets are arranged slightly different ?? TIA !

At first I was thinking that you might need to change permissions on GKrellM, but now I think you might need to change permissions on whatever app controls your fan speed. Nice screenshot.

I need to do a more current screenshot, always making small changes for the more positive.
