GIMP cursor shape

I have been playing around with Linux for a while now and I'm very interested to see how GIMP compared to Photoshop.

So I start GIMP and play around with some pictures and try to do some things I would normally do in PS. Immediately I notice that when you are using the paintbrush tool the cursor remains an arrow so you have no idea where the edges of the brush are.

So anyways, my question is, would this be possible to do? When doing fine details and trying to follow lines I find the shape of the cursor crucial, is there a patch already which does this?

Overall I think GIMP is a great program and looks very promising....now if someone can port Flash MX onto *nix I can finally convert!:D

gimp 2 does that by default and IIRC gimp 1 has an option (somewhere) to display the brush as the cursor...

oh okay, that's great! Thanks!

I can't seem to find the option in any menus....anyone know how to do this?

I would read the manual, but I don't want to read like 50000 pages just for this one thing...
