Gimp 2.0 Install Help

I downloaded gimp 2.0 but I'm having problems installing it.
./configure goes OK but when I try to make I get the following

What is this libgimpbase? I've googled around but haven't found much help.
I'm running Slackware 9.1

probably your archive miss a file , try to re-download it from another source/website :)
