giFT problem

I'm trying to connect to the gnutella network with giFT. I installed giFT and giftcurs, and ran gift-setup, then I launched giftd, but it won't connect to anything.

Here's what my ~/.giFT/giftd.log looks like:

Code:
[19:53:59] giftd 0.11.8.1 (Jul 11 2007 08:51:40) started
[19:53:59] Plugin Gnutella (0.0.10.1) successfully loaded and initialized

[19:54:00] *** GIFT-WARNING: Gnutella: skipping webcache http://ophlh8ohnjhxfvnnkoalokd8vxc.xolox.nl/gwebcache/default.asp, in bad gwebcaches
Then there's a whole bunch more skipping webcache lines like the last one...

Code:
[19:54:20] Gnutella: gt_web_cache.c:737(get_random_cache): couldn't find random cache
[19:54:20] Gnutella: gt_web_cache.c:797(access_gwebcaches): error looking up cache

[19:54:21] Gnutella: file_cache.c:140(file_cache_sync): syncing /home/akira/.giFT/Gnutella/recent_nodes.tmp to disk
Does anyone know what I should do?

i've used gnucleus in windows, and nowadays it doesnt work anymore. i think they may have done something to take it down. that may be your problem (no hosts to try).

Well, if it doesn't work anymore, are there any other command line file sharing programs I could use?

Many of the distro's use torrents to distribute their cdrom/dvd iso's. However, if your ISP is blocking all p2p protocol traffic a torrent client wouldn't work either.

I don't think it's a problem with my ISP. I can use rtorrent. And I have frostwire on my desktop machine. I was just looking for something similar to frostwire that I could run without having X installed.
