Ghosted Image from Linux

HELP!!!

I had an old Linux system that I use for work updated myself to a new system. Decided I would do a dual boot Win2K and Linux. I first attempted Ghost all linux over and it took over the whold HD leaving no partitions for Windows. I then installed W2K and partitioned the HD 50/50 win/linux. Well that worked fine, but I could not ghost the old hd over because it would take over the whole hd. AWWGHH! Ok, so now I have w2k up and running, dual boot to Linux which it is not able to boot to now but could before, ghosted image in on partion of W2K and I need to get it over to its own partitions and use it under a dual boot system, at this point I am rambling on and don't even care if I get to use WIN2K I just need my data and don't know how to get it. Oh, and to top it off the old HD is no good anymore it is shot so the only hope I have is to get the ghosted image off my W2K partition to the Linux partitions with out any damage.

Can you get another hard drive or cheap PC and use that as a scratch box/disk to restore your ghosted data onto?

Yes, I think. I am putting together a system right now that I could borrow:) I will try that.
