I am running RH8 and have gftp 2.0.13 installed on my system. I'm just starting to use this setup to work on a web site so I fired up Gftp today. After a little wrangling I got it pointed at the servers and directories I wanted and created a bookmark to make a quick return. However, after using it to examine the remote directories I realized that I didn't put the bookmark deep enough. No big deal, right?
Menu, Bookmarks, Edit Bookmarks, select bookmark and hit OK - no response, no edit bookmark dialog. Strange. Menu, Bookmarks, Edit Bookmarks, poof! Gftp gone. Repeat, same behavior. Reboot, repeat, same. Reboot, login as root instead, same behavior. I was hoping that maybe the crash was something specific to my other log-in's bookmark file only.
Any ideas? Yum remove gftp and then re-install? Upgrade to 2.0.17? Is there some file cleaning I can do - like deleting a bad configuring file? I'm still very new to Linux, so I'm open to any ideas. Thanks, tcurt.
