Getting virtual box to work
I'm running ubuntu 7.10 off of my Macbook running along side Leopard. I'm very new to this type of system. I installed a program call virtual box, which would enable me to use vista on this operating system. Everything installed fine and I set up my virtual machine fine but when I run it I get this message:
Failed to start the virtual machine Windows Vista Ultimate The VirtualBox kernel driver is not accessible to the current user. Make sure that the user has write permissions for /dev/vboxdrv by adding them to the vboxusers groups. You will need to logout for the change to take effect.. VBox status code: -1909 (VERR_VM_DRIVER_NOT_ACCESSIBLE). Result Code: 0x80004005 Component: Console Interface: IConsole {1dea5c4b-0753-4193-b909-22330f64ec45} Any help would be appreciated, thanks. |

Your user name needs to be added to the 'vboxusers' group. |
How do I add myself to the users group, sorry I'm new lol.

You can edit /etc/group manually, or use the Kuser application in KDE.
