Getting started

I just downloaded Fedora Core 3 on 4 CD's and i want to load them onto a new harddisk. Do I need to load a Linux system image? How do I read and install the iso files?

None of the above....

Boot from CD #1 and follow instructions.

But first--why Core 3 and not Core 4? (Either will work fine--just curious)

Getting started

I chose Fedora Core 3 because I need to test a driver that is not supported yet with core 4. For some reason the CD is not booting even though I have selected to boot from CD in the Bios. The CD looks fine when i try and read it. What gives ????

You may need to check the CD. Boot into windows (or another OS) and insert the CD. Check the contents. If you see the .iso image, then you didn't burn the CD, you accidently just copied the .ISO file to the CD. Common mistake I see all the time.
