Are you logged into your GUI as root or a normal user? I suspect you're logged in as a normal user and trying to run superkaramba as root. This won't work. There are a couple of things you can do:

1) run superkaramba as the same user you are running the GUI session as.
2) run the 'xhost +' command as your user account, then run superkaramba

BTW, it's not wise to run things as root if you don't have to.

ok it worked, i had to run as normal user not as root
