Getting past my works proxy

Hey everyone,

My work uses windows machines, specifically win2k. They have an 'Interlock' brand proxy that listens on ports 80 for http, 21 for ftp, and 443 for ssl. I have a linux box at my house connected via DSL and a netgear mr814 wireless/dsl-router.

Although I'm not for certain that my work is monitoring my traffic, I'd still like to surf 'inappropriate' websites. I would also like to, if possible, arrange a setup where I can do more than just surf the web, but rather like a socks proxy would let me do.

I'd like to get your thoughts and ideas about what software I could use to achieve this, and how to go about setting it up.

I'm sure someone has already thought of this before, but I haven't been able to find any resources on it.

Thanks in advance.
