getting ldap setup

Im having a bit of trouble getting the ldap server configured properly.

The main problem is that I wouldnt have a clue about what I am doing. I am running rhel3u1 ES which has ldap server ready to go. However all the howtos I am following use a BDB database which I dont think I need to install.

Also where does ldap store its infomation and how do I add users in realtion to rhel3u1 ES.

Thnaks for any help offered
