Getting error "sudo: unable to execute ./setup: Success"

Hi,

I am trying to install sybase on RHEL5
Even after doing sudo to root, it's giving this error:

$ sudo -u root ./setup
Password:
sudo: unable to execute ./setup: Success
$

What am I missing here?

Thanks in advance.

1. Are you doing this in the folder where setup is found?
2. Is setup marked as executable?

Thanks, I followed up with our unix admin on this, as turn out to be I was not able to run most of the executables. He had a quick look and he changed some settings.
The response from the Unix admin was: "Removed the extra right for a non-root user to mount the partition. This extra right brings some unintented restrictions with it."
Apologies, but I am new to linux world so it did not made much sense to me, but I am happy that the error got resolved.
