get evolution 1.4.6. data to fresh 2.0 installation
 

Hi.
I've installed fedora 3 on a new machine and am wondering if I can just replace the whole evolution folder or just the Inbox directory to have all my mails / contacts in my new installation.
As I see it evolution does not provide an export function for email / contact data.
Has anyone already done the same type of update?

^^ you might find that thread resourceful...

the best way to import the old data is to copy your ~/evolution folder to your new home directory BEFORE you start evolution for the first time. on startup, evolution recognizes the folder and asks if you wish to import the your mails, contacts etc.
after that evolution tells you that you can delete the old folder because all the data is stored in evolution's new directory.
