Gentoo on an IntelPent3 850mhz coppermine-t

I have what the title says, and I downloaded an i686 version of Gentoo Live(i had i 686 for redhat and it worked, as did i586 for Mandrake). The Gentoo Live CD won't boot for some reason , is it becaause I need to get the p3 Gentoo Live?

If there is a PIII version, it would have optimizations for the chip, though a 686 version should work fine... Might be a bad burn, or download. Did you check the md5sum to make sure it downloaded correctly? Is your computer set to boot from CD?
