gentoo 2007.0 fontconfig-2.5.0 autoconf error
 
i'm trying to compile GNOME from a chrooted environment, (gentoo env in ubuntu 7.10) but gtk+ refuses to compile, i decided to try and emerge gtk+ but one of its dependancies fontconfig-2.5.0 gets to autoconf and fails

i'm new to gentoo and this i part of my attemp at installing it, i have the base gentoo system there but i would like to be able to use a gui

As stated in the error report: "If you need support, post the topmost build error, and the call stack if relevant."

This means that there was some error before this message. You should post that message otherwise it is impossible to tell what is the error.

Also, for gentoo problems you should go to forums.gentoo.org
