Angry geforce 4 mx 440 jumping

i had rh 6.2, but it was running in text mode - so i decided i wanted x and upgraded to rh9.
i have an mx440 64mb gfx and although not the best card in the world it works fine under xp, however if i even try to display a 3d screen saver it updates so slowly i think im back on my 486 - is this normal, and if not is there anything i can do?

go to nvidias site, and download the drivers ....
the generic nvidia drivers don't have 3d accel ... in which
you will achieve this by installing them drivers ....
