Gdesklets won't load

When I try to run gdesklets I get the following error:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/local/bin/gdesklets", line 3, in ?
from main import client, DISPLAY, HOME, USERHOME
ImportError: No module named main

Any idea what this is? I tried reinstalling all my python bindings and gdesklets but it still happens.

Running Ubuntu edgy with the current version of gdesklets in universe.

Judging from the fact that its in /usr/local/bin, I'm guessing that you installed this? i.e. it doesn't come from a package management system?

If so, then the problem is almost assuredly in your configuration, probably for python. In either case, if you could post the offending code in gdesklets, it might offer some clues.
