Hey, I have successfully compilled gdesklets v. 0.33.1 and it even starts correctly
The problem starts when I try to manage desklets. I install them and after a few seconds I see that they are "Installed and ready to use" and then I click on the desklet's I want to run icon to start it ... and here I get a message that "Gnome applications needs to be closed" and that I can restart it or send an e-mail to developers ... well anyway it is hard to say what the problem is ... I can't see any kind of --debug or --log option which would be useful with problem diagnosis ... what can I do?
The only thing I get is:
[ l @ ~ ] $ gdesklets shell
[ l @ ~ ] $ Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/gdesklets/shell/ItemBrowser.py", line 114, in __on_activate_item self.update_observer(self.OBS_ACTIVATE_ITEM, item) File "/usr/lib/gdesklets/utils/Observable.py", line 45, in update_observer h(self, *args) File "/usr/lib/gdesklets/shell/plugins/DisplayBrowser/__init__.py", line 92, in __on_activate ident = client.open_display(path) File "/usr/lib/gdesklets/shell/plugins/gDeskletsClient/__init__.py", line 39, in open_display ident = self.__daemon.open_display(path) File "/usr/lib/gdesklets/main/client.py", line 54, in open_display return self.__send(COMMAND_OPEN_DISPLAY, path) TypeError: unsubscriptable object
I use fluxbox, but I don't think there is a problem with fluxbox itself ...
