GD2 extension for PHP

i am trying to install the GD2 extension for PHP but i am not sure how to do this.

and can any one help me out

i have try the

yum install php-gd

Loaded plugins: fastestmirror
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
Could not retrieve mirrorlist http://apt.sw.be/dries/fedora/fc4/mirrors-rpmforge error was
[Errno 14] HTTP Error 404: Not Found
Error: Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: rpmforge

The 'mirrorlist' link is not a valid link ( any more )

This one should work : ( i386 )
http://apt.sw.be/dries/fedora/fc4/i386/RPMS.dries/

I.e. /etc/yum.repos.d/rpmforge.repo > >
uncomment the line mirrorlist with a hash mark ( # )

... and use this line as the 'baseurl' :
baseurl=http://apt.sw.be/dries/fedora/fc4/i386/RPMS.dries/
...
