I have a P4 1.8ghz with 256 mb ram
I am running Mandrake 10.0 Beta
I am playing a game gl-117, a flight simulator game, and at the lowest quality, im only getting <7 fps. Why?? when an identical computer running XP is killing in the fps rate. Should I use the preemptitive and low latency patch, should I upgrade to kernel 2.6.2? Is it a kernel problem?
What is a good benchmarking tool that will tell me (not running under wine) my latency and other stats?
Do you have hardware acceleration? If you're running an NVidia or ATI card you need download and install the right drivers. This should improve your framerate.
I have an intel integrated video card, I dont know what model, I cant seem to find it in dmesg, it's i8xx, i think it's either i810 or i845, but I have no idea, should I try to find a driver for it?
