how can I MAKE SURE?
I have a GeForce 2 (err dunno the model exactly, it's better than MX, but it's not PRO I think)

If you have the nvidia linux drivers installed and you can see the nvidia splach screen then you should be fine.

Just run a 3d program, such as the "gears" screensaver (i think you'll find it somewhere if you run xscreensaver-demo) and if it's going nice and fast, the you're ok, if not you need to INstall NVidia drivers.
