gaim or amsn


i am using rh 9 and usually update my system. i installed gaim 0.75 and amsn 0.90 but i couldn't connect to MSN with both of the two program. what will i do? what problem can be?

Maybe it was a msnetwork problem, have you tried again recenty?

Try disabling the firewall, then login.

yea..check out your firewall or maybe you have some proxy settings that you have ignored.You should try that out too.

gaim shouldn't connect unless you downloaded a package with ssl. aMSN should work out of the box but if you are under a proxy I find that my socks5 doesn't work but my http does.

it looks as though msn/passport is down - there's a thread in general about it. afaik, no one can connect at the moment.

why not just go to aol.com and download the real version of AIM?

the AOL version is actually complete crap and I hated using it for the few days I did. It is just unstable to say the least.
