Gaim is crashing

My beloved Gaim is crashing on slackware 10.1. The terminal says this when it happens;
"/tmp/mcop-colin is accessible owned by user"
I hope this is a simple fix, thanks for your time in advance my friends.

Probably your permissions are messed up on the temporary directory. This can be because you played around with permissions?

I looked up the folder:
Quote:
drwx------ 3 philip philip 344 Jul 5 11:01 mcop-philip
So you could try setting the same permissions with
Code:
chmod u+rwx mcop-(username)
chmod go-rwx mcop-(username)
