Gaim For Gentoo


hey,
im a bit of a Linux noobie, but i have a modded Xbox running on a Gentoo o.s, and an avaulanch dashboard.
anyways, im trying to install Gaim, and i dont know what version to download or exactly how to install it.

help would be greatly appreaciated

sorry for the lame question, but ive never heard of emerge gaim...so no i dont think thats it

Open up a terminal and type it. Thats how you install stuff with gentoo.

Why not download the source and compile it yourself? Or do the CVS download?

...probably because emerge downloads the source, patches it and compiles it for you?
