gaim - can't to connect to yahoo account
 

I have a problem with connecting to yahoo messanger by gaim.

It says: my_yahoo_account_name has been disconnected.

Msn-messanger account works perfect, though.

the version for gaim is : 1.3.0

My distro is FC2 and I have updated gaim to 1.3.0 from 1.2.1 with rpm-file.

The settings for Yahoo options under account is as follows:


Pager HOst: scs.msg.yahoo.com
Japan Pager host: cs.yahoo.co.jp
Pager port: 5050
File transfer host: filetransfer.msg.yahoo.com
Japan File transfer host: filetransfer.msg.yahoo.co.jp
File transfer port: 80
Chat Room List Url: http://insider.msg.yahoo.com/ycontent/
Proxy type: No proxy

I am behind a router but does this have something to do this... ?

I just had that problem to. Try connecting again. If that doesn't work, double check your password and account name. If that doesn't work, ^_^, try going to the gaim site and upgrading.

yahoo has been "glitchy" the last couple days for linux...i use ymessenger, gaim and kopete...and had the problem in all of them. i'm guessing it's on yahoos end.

I also felt the problem. It is totally on Yahoo's end and they sometime changes their protocol to compel to use yahoo's own software.

i have been usong gaim for all these days and i never faced any problem other than upgrading gaim

and recently too i have not faced any problem
