GAIM and Yahoo Plugin Problems
 

I have Red Hat 8.0 running with the preinstalled version of GAIM, gaim-0.59.1-2 and when I load 'libyahoo.so' and try to login to Yahoo, I get:

Screenname has been signed off: Unable to read

I look on Google but to no avail along with this site. This site had one occurance but no answer so I'm left with no other alternative but to ask for help. Anyone know how to get around this? Thanks, Jeremy

I had this problem as well. You need to grab a later version of gaim and you will be all set.

Check out gaim.sourceforge.net and choose your poison.
