G4U unexpected EOF

I'm currently trying to clone a laptop hard drive on to a new drive.
The source drive is 6GB and the destination 20GB.

First I tried G4L which created and uploaded the image fine, but when I tried to deploy it, the progress bar 'jumped' to a 100% and nothing got written to disk.

I then booted an XP installation CD and created and formatted (NTFS) a partition of ~7GB.

Still no luck.

Then I tried G4U.

This also lets me create and upload an image - I've created both a disk-image (wd0) and a partition-image (wd0d) - but when I attempt to write it to the destination drive it fails at the beginning of the FTP-step giving me an 423 Gzip error stating something along the lines of 'unexpected EOF'.

Any ideas?

Smile Solved

As it turns out, it was the FTP-server that was the culprit. Once I switched from MSIIS to a piece of freeware everything worked like a charm...
