Function Keys under Redhat 9

I have a nagging issue that I can't seem to find any clear answers on.

I am running Redhat 9 (Shrike) Using KDE and Xterm

Where (or what config file) does Redhat 9 use to store its Default Keymap in?

I need to Change the F5 keymap for Xterm from whatever it is now to a VT100 emulation Escape sequence of

\e[M

Please help !

Thanks
