FTP Software.. what will transfer an entire directory?

I need to copy a couple of folders from an ftp server.. I am using gftp, but it will does not seem to do a recursive copy from the ftp server to my computer?

Is there a way to make that work?? or is their another ftp program that will allow me to do this??

Thanks.

i personally use command-line for as much as possible and have found lftp to suit my needs.

may see if this is any help for gftp
http://www.die.net/doc/linux/man/man1/gftp.1.html
--download, -d
This tells gFTP to download the files and directories specified in the url passed on the command line.

hope this helps

I've used gftp to do this just fine. Just highlight the directory and then the transfer arrow. In the status box, you should see it building the list of files to be transferred.

My favorite method though is to use mc.

I dont know why but I never click on those arrows. That worked perfectly. I was dragging and dropping but that does not work.
