ftp server for redhat 9

Hi all, any suggestions on a good (simple im new to this stuff!!) FTP server that will let me set up basic user access and folder access? Hopefully through Webmin if possible.

I believe in rh9.0 it comes with vsftp correct? Anyhow, I use proftpd which I might add is very simple and real easy to install and configure. Give that a shot. It's better if you learn how to set it up from a terminal so that if something happens to go wrong with your ftp (or something else) you can also fix it remotely.

Thanks for the reply. I did notice the ftp server you mention is in Webmin.
So i could install it and manage it that way until i understand it more.

But you are correct it is better to get to knowhow to troubleshoot this stuff via terminal / ssh or telnet as the systems always break just as you get home!!

I suggest vsftpd .. it is also quite easy to set up like outlined at http://www.linux-corner.net/linux/services/ftp.html
