FTP errors

Okay, after a great start with RH 8.0, I've run into one problem after another. This time with WU-FTPD. Yes, I'm aware of the security issues, but it's what I had handy.

I've got it all set-up, but when I connect from a Win98 machine, a messege on my RH server fills the screen saying:

eth0:next frame inconsistency, 0xd8

When I disconnect from the server a new messege appears saying:

eth0: Too much work at interrupt, status ?x??

I'm not sure how to fix this issue. The "server" is a Gateway laptop with a Linksys PCMPC100 PCMCIA card. Any ideas with this one?
