From VirtualBox to VMware Server

I have mentioned that I used VirtualBox on Ubuntu (installed with Automatix.) Well I started having some serious issues with it yesterday. It actually froze the whole computer several times. So I uninstalled it and installed VmWare server (free but you have to register for the serial number.)

This works much, much, MUCH better. I did the same exact things to XP on VmWare that I did on VirtualBox and it never even slowed down let alone freeze up.

I will keep an eye on VirtualBox. I am sure it will get better. I also could have trouble shot this but I am looking for the fastest, simplest ways to get everything set up, in part so I know what will be the best desktop solution for those new to Linux.

if you wish to write things like this, you might like to use your free linuxquestions.org blog rather than making new threads? unless you have a well disguised question somewhere. alternatively, this is useful information to append to existing threads you've had about these subjects.

Your right. I did post this because of a couple of other threads. I should have just added it there instead of making a new one, I got lazy. There is no question here, not even a hidden one lol. So I have copied and pasted the original post and if you want to delete this post go ahead and I will add this to two other threads where it belongs.
