Freezing constantly...

Anyone have an idea of what it could be? I just seem to freeze at random times when messing around online or trying to download something.

Running RH 9.0 with the most recent kernel, KM2M MS-6738 motherboard, Athlon AMD 1800x processor with 768ram.

I dont think the freezing it being caused by my system overheating... I have the air down to 60, my box is open and a fan is blowing on it.

blah blah blah... sick of problem, please help

Thank you,

-Michael

How is the system locking up? Does it require you to power down and restart? From what you said, it sounds like a hardware issue, like something's up with some of your RAM. But without more details, it's hard to guess.

By 'freezing' I mean everything locks up, I cant move my mouse and keyboard stops functioning.... I dont think my RAM is the problem here. It was doing it ( freezing ) before and after I installed/configured my ram.

My network card seemed to be supported when I installed originally... It had installed the driver already before I even logged into my user profile after installing.

Im using a VT86c100A Rhine-II PCI network card.
