Free/Open Source Linux O.S. for mobile phones

Hi all!

I am interested in using/programming mobile phones Linux O.S.'s, but which are also allowing me (a normal user) to modify/distribute the source code freely ( both as in "free speech" and also "free beer" :) ).

Do you have knowledge about such O.S.'s ?
Do you know any "entity" which delivers mobile phones packed with an Linux O.S. and also it's source code?

Thank you in advance,
M.

Motorola just started an open-source site with Linux software for their phones, phone kernels are available for download there.
