Hi Herc

Im a newbie myself but heres what I did

Under the users mailbox, create a .forward file.

go to
/home/user

vi .forward

hit i
type in the email you want it to go to:
blah@blah.com
hit esc
hit ctrl zz (this exits vi and saves the file)

test it now!
if you want messages to be left, just add
\user
blah@blahblah.com

so his mailbox gets a copy as well

Hope this helps, i having probs forwarding to msn.com emails but thats about it

Thanks for an answer. Just wanted to say all you need is the email address in that file for postfix to work. it still works.

it's nice to finally find an answer to the question of how to use the .forward file .. so simple i know!
