Format Problems Saving Star Office Docs in Word Format

I have Star Office 6.0 installed on RH 9.0. I also have M$ Office installed via Code Weavers cxoffice. I can save a star office doc in word 97/2000/xp format however if I have any bullets in the document then word displays the bullets as some wierd square box. Is there something I can do to correct this?

rtf?

Could you save/read from rtf instead of doc?

Where you using a graphical bullet ?

If yes, then MS-Office probably does not have that particular graphic.

Also, StarOffice does not export to DOC format at 100%.
There are still some inconsistencies. :(

If you have different fonts that aren't substituted or graphics that aren't available to both programs you'll get odd characters.

rtf gives me the same results.

I am not using a graphical bullet - just the standard dot. I found that what I get is a standard windows bullet but it's the little ugly square for an outline. I also get a - on the line before and after my bulleted list.

I can go clean it up with m$ word but I would prefer not to. I feel like I need to go take a shower every time I open an m$ tool.
