Force L2 cache

Is there a utilitly that can be used to turn on the L2 cache? Is there a boot parameter that could be used? That would be even better.

You mean the L2 cache on the processor? Well, this should always be on... some (rare) BIOS have the ability to turn this off but I really don't see the point of doing so...
Why do you believe that you L2 is off?

I have a hacked(overclocked) thinkpad 600e where I have had to turn off L2 to get rid of post errors. I had to turn it back on after it started. I googled up a module named pIIIcache the I can modprobe with boot.local. It makes a big difference when the L2 is turned on.
